Happy 2-Tips Tuesday!
Here are two ideas to consider this week.

1. Sadly, I Don’t Believe You.
I have a short story to share with you.
"I'll circle back to this once things settle down."
Sadly, I don’t believe you.
Here's the pattern.
Lots of people call and email us regularly to inquire about working with our team of nutrition coaches.
It’s often serious stuff.
Newly diagnosed diabetes, or persistent GI symptoms, or high cholesterol levels. Their weight has crept up, clothes feel tight, and they don't like what they see in the mirror.
Or other times, it's people who are working hard in the gym, but aren't seeing the results they want because they know their nutrition could be better.
Many even have insurance benefits to take advantage of.
So they take an important step forward.
They make the phone call or send us an email, and I chat with them to learn more.
I send personalized messages.
We make the onboarding process easy.
Just pick a date and time to get started, and we’re ready to help them transform their habits, step-by-step, meeting them where they are at.
Just pick a date and time to get started, and we’re ready to help them transform their habits, step-by-step, meeting them where they are at.
And then, a message like this hits our inbox.
📆 “I've had a few things pop-up in my schedule, so I'll circle back once things are settled.”
🍁 “I need to cancel and rebook for the fall. I just realized I will be too busy with the kids this summer.”
✈️ “I’m going on a work trip for a few days, so I’ll have to push this back by a month or two.”
📞 "I just need to call and check with insurance first."
I almost never hear back.
And I always wonder how the conversation goes the next time they meet with their family doctor. Or the scale is up another 15 lb. Or their GI issues are still raging.
“Hey doc, yeah, I made the phone call to get some professional guidance and support with this. How’s it going? Well… I haven't had a chance to start yet. I've been too busy."
But, here's the most important thing I always remind myself and my team of caring nutrition coaches.
They have taken a positive first step.
We had a great conversation, and even for a brief moment, they felt empowered and like they could do something to change their health for the better.
And because I care about them as human beings, I follow up.
And I follow-up.
And I follow-up some more.
I don't give up on the people that ask for my help or write them off, until they tell me to leave them alone.
And you know what, some of the time, that persistence works.
They call back 3 years, 5 years, even 10 years later… and they’re ready to start.
So although I might not believe you when you say you’ll follow-up in a month "once things settle down”
…know that I’ll follow-up with you to support the happiest + healthiest version of yourself that we talked about earlier.

2. How Well Do You Follow Up?
Do you follow up with leads, or write them off if they don’t sign up right away? Do you see this as an exercise in building trust, or assume they’re unmotivated?
Perspective matters when someone doesn’t respond back.
Some people get bitter and complain about their time being wasted, while the most successful coaches zoom out and play the long-game.
In my nutrition business, I follow up at least 7 times with new inquiries. Systems are my superpower!
👆 Tip #1 from today is just one example of a follow up email I send.
I use templates to send personalized emails, voice notes, and video messages, following up for weeks, months, and even years later.
Today, I’m excited to help a 1-on-1 PRO$PER student build his lead nurturing and onboarding process, modeled after my own system that made his jaw drop. We’re doing a 4-hour intensive coaching session, and I love this deep work because it’s what propels a small business owner forward.
Remember, the grass isn’t greener on the other side. It’s greener where you water it.
👉 Today’s Tip: Follow up with someone you've mentally written off. That seed you planted might be ready to grow into a great coaching relationship.
✅ Action takers are rewarded. Nice job, coach!
