Disgusting Amounts Required for Success!

Nutrition Coaches – if you have disgusting amounts of this on your website, people will like you, trust you more, and be more willing to sign up and work with you. So what is it? Let's discuss!

Happy 2-Tips Tuesday!

Here are two ideas to consider this week.

1. Disgusting Amounts

Coaches – if you have disgusting amounts of this on your website, people will like you, trust you more, and be more willing to sign up and work with you. What is it?

SOCIAL PROOF!

Take Marie Forleo’s website. She’s sold over $120 million in online courses, and on her sales page I counted 92 pieces of social proof–92!!

She had testimonials, success stories, video interviews, praise from other experts–you name it. On a scale from 🫣 “mild and meek” to 🤮 “disgusting,” it was definitely disgusting.

But here’s the twist: for a potential buyer, all that proof didn’t feel gross–it felt necessary. People need to see that others have succeeded working with you before they’ll feel comfortable signing up.

Social proof builds your case that you’re:

✅ credible

✅ experienced

✅ trustworthy

✅ good at your job

But here’s the problem.

You probably don’t have
enough social proof on your website. It feels super awkward to brag about yourself and showcase your clients all over the internet.

If you’re struggling to attract new clients, take a moment to count the pieces of social proof and Google reviews validating your expertise. Even if you’re incredible at what you do, a lack of visible support online can make you seem sketchy to potential clients.

So how much social proof is enough? When it feels like too much, that’s actually the sweet spot.

People need to see
overwhelming evidence that you know what you’re doing, so it’s time to pack your website with more testimonials, client stories, pictures, videos, and success snapshots. The goal isn’t for every piece to be read; it’s to give potential clients enough proof to feel confident choosing you.

2. This Week's Challenge

2-Tips Tuesday is about helping coaches take action to run better businesses and be more successful. Information is great, but action is much better.

So, are you ready for today’s challenge?

Go add at least five more pieces of social proof to your website or social media by the end of the week. And while you’re at it, go ask five people you’ve worked with to leave you a Google review.

This is one of the most effective ways to help the right people find you and transform their lives.

Your future clients (and your bank account) will thank you for making it easier for them to say yes, allowing you to do your best work as a nutrition coach!
