Ice Cubes in Milk?

Why great nutrition coaching isn’t just about the food. This week: quirky client confessions, a powerful mindset tip from Tony Robbins, and a free masterclass that’ll help you become a sold-out coach clients love to work with.

Happy 2-Tips Tuesday!

Here are two ideas to consider this week.

By Jennifer Broxterman, RD

1. Ice Cubes in Milk?

Wow! After last week’s 2-Tips Tuesday, I heard back from so many of you!

  • Kelsey puts ice cubes in his milk and cereal to make it “ice cold” (weird, but then again, I used to wash my pepperoni… so fair).

  • Elizabeth survived an eating disorder and is using what she’s learning in the PRO$PER Certification to help others heal their relationship with food. (Brave. Inspiring!)

  • Joe just adopted a rescue pup named Loki and won his pro card in the IDFA. (Impressive!)

  • Gerald nailed his first public speaking gig using our done-for-you PRO$PER presentations. (Heck yeah.)

  • A Denmark grad sent me baby pics of Victor and shared how she pivoted from gym-based training to online habit-based nutrition coaching after PRO$PER. (She’s loving the work-from-home mom life!)

  • Melissa entered a hot dog eating contest in high school, lost... and projectile vomited in the girls’ bathroom then got sent home sick. (Also somehow a win?)

  • Sushi and pizza tied for your all-time fave foods. (Solid picks.)

  • And Scott’s black cat Willow has mesmerizing green eyes that haunt my dreams (in the best way).

Here’s a core truth I teach in PRO$PER:

“It’s about the food… but it’s not about the food.”

I talk to my nutrition clients about everything. Their jobs, pets, kids, gas (beans & broccoli-related), sleep, workouts, and why they feel out of control around food sometimes.

That’s how I coach. I build deep trust. I go beyond just macros, meal plans, or generic check-ins.

And the wild part? I’m swamped with clients. I’ve raised my rates. I have waitlists. And it’s all word-of-mouth. No ads.

Why?

Because in a world full of fake fitness influencers, what people are really hungry for is trust, care, and connection. The coaches who go deep—those are the ones getting referrals, results, and rebookings.

If you missed last week’s email (turned blog), I highly recommend reading it.

Or better yet, steal the idea.

Send out a fun “get to know me” message. You’ll be amazed what comes back.

Like this reply I got:

“Stealing this idea for a future Daily Cup of Joe. Brilliant way to connect!”

2. Please Use This For Good (Not Evil)

I’m sharing a powerful mindset trick I learned from Tony Robbins—the psychology behind creating positive addiction so people want to work with you.

DO NOT USE THIS FOR EVIL. (Seriously.)

This is the first lesson inside my free Nutrition Coaching Masterclass: LIFTOFF.

Lesson 1: The Best Coaches Do This
(The Psychology of Human Needs + Creating Addiction)

You can watch the training 100% free.

You’ll also get the chance to scoop up two of my most popular mini courses (usually $299 each) for just $197 total—over $400 in savings.

But again: use this for good. Use it to become a sold-out, kind-hearted nutrition coach who changes lives.
