How Motivation Really Works

Many coaches believe part of their job is to help motivate their clients to make healthier choices. WRONG! Motivation *actually* works in the opposite way you think it would.
Happy 2-Tips Tuesday!
Here are two ideas to consider this week.

1. Motivation is BS π©
Many coaches believe part of their job is to help motivate their clients to make healthier choices.
WRONG β
Donβt enable this incorrect viewpoint β itβs faulty and broken. Motivation β‘οΈ Action β
Motivation *actually* works like this. Action β‘οΈ Motivation β
Your job as a coach is to help your clients figure out their next small step forward, and to only focus on that next step.
β’ Action dismantles analysis paralysis.
β’ Action crushes all-or-nothing thinking.
β’ Action breaks the stagnation cycle.
β’ Action creates small wins, which increases motivation, which leads to further action.
